Welcome to Nyx! We are a Vampire RPG based on the House of Night series. You DO NOT need to have read the books to join! We have all the info you need in the Booklet board that you need to fit in here. ^^ We recommend 150 - 200 words a post, at least one good paragraph. Fell free to join and make a bio, or at least take a look around. You can also Role play a human or Werewolf here, or, newly added, the Alato. Feel free to ask any questions and welcome to Nyx!

These are the colors of the member groups. If you have more than 2 speciesyou will be given the color at the very bottom of the list. Other than that your name color will be changed accordingly.

Hey everyone, Nyx is getting a make over due to my(Cammie) absence. I want to revamp then reopen Nyx, so expect changes and modifications. PM me if you log in, what about? I just want to know if you are going to stay a member as well as to see what characters and or threads you want to keep. Another thing is that I would like you guys to PM me with any suggestions you have. Thank you.

New Lives
Here we will post the new vampires, werewolves, or alatos. No making a bio will not get your character here. To get your character here you have to be a human that has been changed. OR A fledgling that has become a full adult.

Here we will post site wide plots or small personal plots. This is a spotlight area, so if you make a personal plot and loads of people like it and nominate it then it may appear here!

Ello everybody, like usual here are the rules for the site. Please read them even though you may not want to. x.x
NOTE: We are 'based' on the House of Night series, using some Ideas and giving complete credit to P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. We have changed some things, so pay attention.
The boring, the lame, the general rules
Liquid time, yes Liquid time is ALLOWED, this means your characters can be in as many places as you want, just do not overdo it...please.
You must have at least FIVE sentences in your posts. If you need help just PM me. We prefer 150 - 200 words apost.
Respect everyone out of roleplay. It is alright to not respect another persons character in roleplay, not out.
Not godmoding or Powerplaying, if you don't know what these are they basically mean do not act another persons character and do not make your character invisible.
Cursing inside roleplay is ok, just don't go overboard. Try not to curse out of character and if you do keep it to the bare minimum.
Characters you are allowed up to as many characters as you want, your screen name must be the name of your main character, or something that you like, do not go overboard.
Admins watch the site and handle the members. -----you can earn an admin spot by being a loyal member, a good rule enforcer, and a newbie helper.
Anyone can have up to two teachers each.

House of Night Finishing School
Grades, in the Hous of Night the grades are different: -----Freshmen - Third Former -----Sophomore - Fourth Former -----Junior - Fifth Former -----Senior - Sixth Former
Class symboles: --Third Foremer - The third former's symbol is embroidered in silver in the shape of a spiral that glitteres in a delicate circle. The Symbol ---the silver labyrinth of the Goddess Nyx--- stands for a new begining forthe third formers as they walk the Path of Night and learn the ways of the Goddess. -Fourth Former - The golden wings of Eros are the fourth formers symbol. Eros ---the love god--- is the child of Nyx. The symbol reminds the fourth formers about Nyx's capability to love and also represents the students' continuous move forward. -Fifth Former - The fifth formers emblem represents Nyx's golden chariot pulling a trail of stars. The chariot illistrates the Fifth Formers continuation on Nyx's journey. The stars represent the magic of a fledglings first two years at the House of Night. -Sixth Former - The sixth formers symbol is an embroidered silhouette of the three faiths, the children of Nyx. The sixth formers all wear the emblem of the faiths, the goddesses of destiny. The scissors signify the end or break of the formers time at the House of Night. -Teachers - The professors symbol is the silver embroidered image of Nyx with her arms upraised and her hands cupping the cresent moon.
School rules: ----You must wear clothing with your classes symbol inside the school grounds, but NOT out. -------Students can modify their uniformes anyway they like, so long as they have their former symbol listed above. ----You can't wear school clothing outside of school and you must cover your mark with concealer. ----You must not have any relationships with humans, unless they are family. ----Students must eat healthy. ----There is absolutly NO human teacher relationships allowed. ----The bedtime curfew is 6am, no boys are in the girls dorms at this time and no girls in the boys dorm at this time. ----You do not pick your cat, the cat picks you (I will pick a time and the type of cat you get, so expect one at anythime) ----Feeding on Humans is an absolute NO! ----Vampires and Werewolves are to live together as one ----There are boy and girl dorms and two people to a dorm, these are chosen at random.
The Dark Daughters (and sons) ----A cerimony will be held every full moon with the five elements: Earth -North Fire -South Wind -East Water -West Spirit -Center -------You start with Wind, then Fire, then Water, then Earth, then Spirit, each time saying something then asking the element to come to you. ----To be accepted in the Dark Daughters and Sons you must be kind and helpful, and set a good example for your younger Fledglings. ------Prefects are seven members (the leader of the Dark Daughers, and the four element holders) that lead and represent the entire school. The five members will decide on the last two members.
----The leader of the Dark Daughters is a female fledgling that is in training to become a high pristess. She wears a silver pendant encrested with two cresent moons back to back with a full moon encrested with garnets.
Keep in mind these are the SCHOOL RULES and may be broken
Characters
In the book the 'vampyres' as they spell it are marked by a tracker and hold the empty outline of a cresent moon on their forhead, but it has a slight color outline, Blue.
On this site you can pick from the folowing colors for your cresent moon, of you chose to be a vampire: -Any shade of: ----Green ----Blue ----Purple ----Yellow ----Red
Vampires can live many, many decades longer than humans, but try to keep them young on this site.
Imprinting If a Vampire drinks a Werewolves or humans blood a special bond begins to form, this can be dangerous for both of them. They can begin to hear one another, and see one another as well as feel pain if the imprintis broken.
Imprinting A werewolf can be strikingly hansome just like a vampire, but if you are bitten by a werewolf WHILE it is in it's wolf form. The transfer of saliva is how the Imprint occurs.
Abilities
Admins, all admins are just there to enforce the rules, and keep the site running.
Teachers, the teachers enforce the rules to but also hold the responsibility of wandering the halls and sometimes 'hanging out' with the students, or each other.
Prefects, they are there to help other members and students.

OK randomly throughout roleplay I might show up in your thread and either give you a power, cat or some other random item, IF YOU BEHAVE. So basically you want me to show up so you can get your cat, an element, or even some other kind of 'power.'
